Where has the time gone?????

I can't believe it's over 4 weeks since I last posted on here.....I have been a bit busy and still didn't get everything made I wanted to! I'm going to start in January for next year!!!

I hope you had a lovely Christmas, we certainly did.

I have got some things to share with you over the coming weeks and will start with a box I made using the envelope board. I wanted it to hold a soap (already in a box!) and it took me a while to suss it out but after a few attempts with scrap paper I got there.

The reindeer and sleigh is a Cheery Lynn die and the snowflakes are Stampin Up Festive Flurry dies

I made a slit in the flap to close the box and didn't stick the snowflakes down fully to allow it to tuck underneath.
You could wrap ribbon, twine, a belly band of card or paper or even use a glue dot to close it if you wanted and of course it can be for any occasion depending on what you use and decorate it with.

The box measures 4 3/8" x 2 5/8" depth 1 5/8"
Use a piece of 8 x 8 card and the envelope punch board - punch & score at 2 1/4" turn and line up score line punch & score again. Repeat on all sides so you have 4 punched notches and a scored rectangle diagonally from to corner.
Place one of the other 2 corners with no notches on the scoreboard at 3 3/8" punch & score. Turn and line up the score line, punch & score repeat on all 4 sides.
Cut along score lines (dashed lines on picture below) so you can fold the ends of the box up and stick to the sides.

Wishing you all a happy & healthy 2014
