Z cards........

Well what a better way to spend a miserable day yesterday than making cards!
I have seen lots of this style card but never made one so I decided to give it a go.
The piece of A4 card is cut at an angle - I measured 1" from the top on one short edge and
3 1/2" from the bottom of the opposite edge and cut from one mark to the other.
Scored it at 3 7/8", moved this score mark to the 3 7/8" score point and scored again. Fold the scored lines, you will have a little extra bit that you can trim off. You now have your card ready to decorate however you wish.

I have used Flower Shop and petite Petals for these cards. Just remember if over hanging anything that you make sure it fits in your envelope! Otherwise you will have to make one to fit the card, not a problem if you have an envelope board! This fits a DL size envelope.

The stamps I've used are from Flower Shop and Petite Petals and have a matching punch which is very useful when using lots of flowers.
The base card is Naturals Ivory and hardwood stamp is stamped in Crumb Cake.
The flowers have been stamped onto Naturals Ivory & Vanilla to give a different look and depth, in Tempting Turquoise and Tangerine Tango.
I have stamped the flap of the envelope too and decorated the front.
I haven't added anything to the centres of the flowers as I like it as it is, but you could add pearls, rhinestones, stamped and punched centres, stickles liquid pearls etc.

This colour combination is the base card is Sahara Sand with Hardwood stamped in Tempting Turquoise (stamped off to give a lighter look). Flowers the same as in the first card.

This is the card closed and the back to add your message. You could add a verse in the inside fold if you wanted.

When Martyn came home I said I would love to receive an envelope stamped like that on the flap, it's so pretty. His reply - give that to me then and I'll send it to you!!!!

Hope you give this style a try and I would love to see what you create
