Happy 1st Wedding Anniversary to James & Natalie.......

.... where has that year gone????

So today I am sharing some of the things we made for the wedding.
I love looking back and remembering not only the day but the times we spent thinking, designing, planning and making everything.
Apologies if you've seen them before and the long post today!!

The first thing we made were the favour boxes in purple and teal, which were all hand cut (didn't have a box die then!!) and stamped using On a Pedestal set(see photo of table later)
This is what was inside chocolate tea pot and cup & saucer, milk bottle and some Brew Ha Ha tea bags.
Tags to wrap around the cutlery

Handmade confetti punched from tissue paper, vellum and Crumb Cake card stock

Tags wrapped round hankies placed on the chairs at Preston hall
Chocolate buttons for the Candy Bar - just one of the things we made
bunting sign and you can just see rosettes hanging from the ceiling
Denise made the cake pops and James did the stands. The labels were created using Stampin Up Sweet Core Stamp set, and some more rosettes.

If I had to choose my favourite item I loved making it would be Natalie's brooch bouquet.
It wasn't just me involved - Natalie, James, Denise and Charlotte all helped.
We had a number of sessions sat in our kitchen wiring buttons, brooches and making bead flowers to go in it. I had the job of assembling it, which was a struggle at times and I pulled it apart a few times. My hands and neck ached trying to keep it tight whilst adding more stems. But it eventually took shape and Natalie loved it which is the main thing.

I love this photo arriving at Worsall Village Hall and topping up her lipstick!
Charlotte's was made with buttons, which was so much easier to put together and light as a feather compared to Natale's!
Buttonholes completed the collection - for James and the men
and the ladies to match their outfits
Decorating Worsall Village Hall the day before the wedding was a great day to see all our ideas and planning come together - here are some of the things...
The main room - bunting strung, made by James, Natalie & Denise. Tables all arranged with the gorgeous flower arrangements in tea pot planters by my Mam & Mary

In the entrance hall our old garden bench painted white and used as a guest book which is now in their bedroom full of lovely messages and memories.

The plan for the day created by James which now hangs in their hall.
The table plan in an old suitcase...
and another suitcase for cards...both now live in their bedroom as decoration and storage underneath their metal bed.
James designed the wine labels the same design as the invitations
Rosettes in the welcome drinks
5 wire hearts decorated with doilies and rosettes hung on the curtains around the room. They came to life on the evening with the battery lights.
James and Martyn made the backdrop for the photo booth and James painstakingly hand drew the title!
and finally the cake...designed by James made by me and eaten by all!
