Tap, Tap Tap.......

birthday collection for Natalie!

I do love this set and think it will be one of my favourites - I seem to say this a lot LOL!

I have coloured the typewriter with blendabilities and did it roughly and like the look.
Colours are Rich Razzleberry and Lost Lagoon
It is quite easy to cut the typewriter out to decoupage.

Add any message or name to the paper to make it personal.
I added an extra bit to add "daughter" making it wider for it to fit!

Inside the card to co-ordinate with the front.

Tag and envelope to match - the envelope again made with Typeset DSP

Sealed with one of the new Kraft stickers

It's a "moustache" of a birthday....

James loves moustache things so I had to get the moustache framelit to make a card for his birthday. There is a stamp set which includes a matching stamp for the framelit,  but I didn't want the others in the set, so decided to stamp my own!
I cut the smaller one with the framelit, then drew round the outside edge on the black card and hand cut to make the larger one.

The little moustache is from the Fitting Occasion set - isn't it cute and the arrows from the new set What's Up and they have a matching punch.

Inside of the card and the envelope made with Typeset designer paper.

Matching tag......

...the collection

Check back for Natalie's soon x

30th birthday tag card

This is the card and other things I made for Laura's 30th birthday,
the same idea as the 60th birthday card I shared on Saturday.
I have used the dictionary stamp on the background and the stamp sets Summer Silhouettes and Too Kind and the colour scheme is Pool Party, Hello Honey and Basic Grey.

I had to join a piece of card for this one as it has more letters.

Close up of the first three letters.....

...........and second three letters.

Gift collection -
 - the top box is for the card.
- the bottom box for the spoon is a Tag a Bag Box base with a card top stamped to match
 - a mini muslin bag stamped to match which contained a necklace
- the gift bag has a pocket on so instead of a tag it is a card front

Close up of card front and bag

I love this colour combination and these stamps.
I think I will definatley creating more with them!

It was James & Natalies birthday on Monday so check back soon for their cards
Bye for now

Happy 60th Birthday.....

to our brother-in-law Ronnie.

Here is the card I made for him with a box to put it in.

I used the Crafty Owl Box buster to get the right size for the box after I'd made the card so it fits in nicely. The photo doesn't show the depth but it is 1 1/2"
I stuck the saying You're The Best onto the ribbon and stuck another of the bubble behind to make it firmer.

Another idea I had to use the little letter framelits.
The card base is made scoring the card stock at 6cm and then mark the centre of each panel so you can position the scallop punch to shape the tops. You have to push the card into the punch as the guide is 5cm but you can do it with a bit of patience! You will then need to trim the bits of card in between each scallop top. If you need a longer word or name you will need to join some card together.
Another way would be to do a straight concertina, make the tags separately and stick them onto the concertina of card, though this takes more card.

Close up of each letter

I'm in the process of doing another for my god daughter's 30th birthday tomorrow - so check back soon for another sample

Little letters.....

I couldn't wait to get these little letters from the new catalogue! All the big shot dies I have don't allow you to cut letters like you can with these. As they are individual it means you can place them anywhere on your paper so long as it fits in the Bigshot.

This allows you to spell out any word - in a straight line or otherwise. You can fill in the negative with a different coloured letter or leave it as it is.

And don't forget you can then use the letters that you've cut out
as in this card that I've combined with a stamp for the "HAPPY"
Looking forward to having time to have a play and come up with other ideas!

Kraft journals....

I love these little kraft journals in the the new Stampin Up catalogue
and you guessed it  - I had to decorate with some flowers LOL

Two other designs - the NOTES one gives you a glimpse of the paper inside.
I used the new framelit letters to cut the word - more of these in the next post.

More flowers & hardwood!!!!

Once again I have coloured the flowers with blendabilities in Rich Razzleberry

I'm back.....

...after a fabulous holiday and total break from crafting to a really hectic time with lots going on!!!!! August is always a busy time for me with the Riverside Festival which I love, lots of birthdays & anniversaries and this year the 1,245 Sunflower project to remember those that dies in WW1 from Stockton which I have been involved with. I will post more about that later.

For now I will share a card I made for my mother-in-laws 87th birthday!

The last card I posted was the same style but this time I used the larger Flower Shop stamps and they are coloured with Stampin Up's new blendabilities. They do look brighter than they do here. This set is Rich Razzleberry and Coastal Cabanna

As usual I decorated the inside of the card & envelope.

I made a little gift card to go inside with details of her present written on it - a subscription to Radio Times. What do you buy some-one who is 87 who is in a nursing home!

The family persuaded her to come out of the home for her birthday - the 1st time this year. It was lovely to see her dressed and out :)
